Editions and stages

The exhibition project has been built around three main stages:

Madrid, 2020

Organized in collaboration with Madrid City Council, the inaugural edition of the exhibition was held at the Condeduque Center of Contemporary Culture, where it was open to visitors from 23 January to 29 November 2020.

Very soon, you will be able to find all the information about this stage of the project here.

Spanish tour

During this second stage, the exhibition will tour some of the key places in Spain from where the “invisible emigrants” started their journeys.

The first confirmed stop-off-point of this tour is Gijon (Asturias) where the exhibition is being organized in collaboration with the Municipal Foundation for Culture, Education and Popular University of Gijon City Council. The Antiguo Instituto Cultural Center hosts the exhibition from 18 November 2021 to 6 February 2022.

Find out everything you need to prepare your visit here. Also make sure to take a look at our parallel program section, which we will be updating with all the different activities and events on offer while the exhibition is open.

US tour

During the planned third stage of the tour, the project will cross the Atlantic and visit some of the key locations of the Spanish diaspora.
