emigrantesinvisibles.com is the official website of the exhibition “Invisible Emigrants. Spaniards in the US (1868–1945),” which commemorates and highlights the significance of the Spanish presence in the United States during this period (hereinafter “the exhibition”).
emigrantesinvisibles.com is owned by the Fundación Consejo España – Estados Unidos, with Tax ID G-81737736 and registered office at Serrano Galvache 26, 28033 Madrid (Spain).
The Fundación Consejo España – EE.UU. is a non-profit organization, which was created in 1997 with the purpose of fostering ties between Spanish and US society and institutions (hereinafter “the Foundation“).
The official exhibition catalog can also be purchased at emigrantesinvisibles.com. All funds raised from the sale of this catalog will go towards supporting the exhibition project.
Scope of application
These general conditions shall govern the commercial relationship established between the User and the Foundation formalized by the placing of an order, use of the services, and purchase of or request for products or services offered on the Website at the domain emigrantesinvisibles.com. Any purchase made outside this domain will not be binding for the Foundation.
Acceptance and validity of the terms and conditions
Confirmation of an order entails the acceptance of these terms and conditions which shall govern, in the absence of any specific conditions, the relationship established between the purchaser and the Foundation.
By accepting the contract you declare:
- That you have the capacity to enter into this contract, in accordance with applicable Spanish law.
- That you have read and expressly accept each and every one of these General Conditions.

These clauses will come into force from the moment the contact is executed, in accordance with the provisions of Law 34/2002. The Foundation reserves the right to unilaterally modify these conditions, without this affecting goods or services purchased prior to the modification.
Intellectual property
The Foundation holds all rights over the content, design, and source code of the emigrantesinvisibles.com Website and, specifically, over the photographs, images, texts, logos, designs, trademarks, trade names and data included therein.
Any copy, reproduction (in whole or in part), adaptation, modification, distribution, public marketing and/or any other action that violates Spanish and/or international regulations in force on intellectual and/or industrial property is strictly prohibited, as is any use of the contents of the website without the express prior written authorization of the Foundation.
Use of the service and liabilities
The Foundation assumes no liability whatsoever for the use of the website, including (but not limited to):
- Any use of materials on this Website or linked pages, whether prohibited or permitted, that violates the intellectual and/or industrial property rights of the contents of the website or of third parties.
- Possible damages to users as a result of the normal or abnormal functioning of the search tools, the organization or localization of the content and/or access to the website and, in general, any errors or problems generated in the development or instrumentation of the technical elements that the Website or program provides to the User.
- Content of pages that users may access from links featured on the website, whether authorized or not.
- Acts or omissions of third parties, regardless of whether these third parties have a contractual relationship with the Foundation.
- Communications or dialogues in any debate, forum, chat, and virtual community organized through or around the website and/or linked pages. Nor shall it be liable, therefore, for any damages suffered by registered users or individual and/or collective visitors as a result of such communications and/or dialogues.
- Errors or delays in accessing the Website by the User when he/she enters data in the order form, any delay or lack of reception of the order confirmation by purchasers, or any anomaly that may arise when these incidents are due to Internet network problems, fortuitous events or force majeure, and any other unforeseeable contingencies external to the Foundation’s good faith.
- Failures or incidents that may occur in communications, drafts or incomplete transmissions; there is no guarantee that the services of the website will be constantly in operation.
- Errors or damage caused to the website due to inefficient use or use in bad faith of the service on the part of the user.
- Non-functioning or issues with the e-mail address provided by the user for sending the order confirmation.
Invalidity of clauses
If any clause included in these general conditions is declared, totally or partially, null or ineffective, such nullity or ineffectiveness will only affect that provision or that part of it that is null or ineffective, with the rest of the terms and conditions remaining in force in all other respects.
Applicable law
Any conflicts relating to the website www.emigrantesinvisibles.com shall be governed exclusively by Spanish law and the courts of Madrid have sole jurisdiction. All users of the website, regardless of the territorial jurisdiction from which they access it, agree to comply with and respect this clause, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction to which they may be entitled.
Purchasing process
Once you have chosen the item(s) you wish to purchase, click “Add to cart.” Enter all data requested and click “Return” to correct any of the data entered previously or “Confirm” to purchase.
Anyone making a purchase will have to enter their Tax ID number.
Means of payment
- Credit or debit card: We use the REDSYS secure e-commerce gateway integrated in Banco Santander for card payments. All data is entered and processed securely and the Foundation does not have access to card details.
- PayPal: By choosing this payment option the buyer must comply with PayPal’s user requirements (more information at www.paypal.es).
The Foundation is responsible for transactions made through the www.emigrantesinvisibles.com Website. The site uses Secure Socket Layers (SSL) for all e-commerce transactions, which guarantees the security of all data sent.
Order confirmation
All products advertised on the website www.emigrantesinvisibles.com are available. Once you have completed your purchase, you will receive an e-mail with the details of your order. If you do not receive this email within 2 hours, please contact gestion@emigrantesinvisibles.com. If there are any errors or discrepancies regarding price, delivery, or payment method in your confirmation email, please contact gestion@emigrantesinvisibles.com.

All prices shown on the website are in euros.
Prices include VAT and any other taxes that may apply.
Shipping costs
Before completing the purchase process, you will be advised of the shipping costs of the products purchased, which will depend on the place of delivery and the volume, weight and number of packages that make up the order.

Terms of delivery
Orders will be dispatched within 24–48 working hours from the date and time of receipt. Any order received after 1 pm will be processed the following day. Spanish and European shipments, of up to 2 items, will be shipped via Correos. Larger shipments will be sent via Correos or courier company. Shipments to the United States will be sent by courier company.
Delivery times are approximate and vary according to the recipient’s location:
- Mainland Spain: 1–3 days.
- Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla: 3–5 days.
- United States: 5–7 days.
- Europe: 7–10 days.
The Foundation is not responsible for delivery times, which are subject to the management of the third party responsible for transport.
Cancellation and return
The Foundation reserves the right to cancel orders placed containing typographical or arithmetical errors, or an inaccurate delivery address that may cause an issue with the delivery of the goods.
If you wish to cancel an order that has not yet been dispatched, please send an e-mail to gestion@emigrantesinvisibles.com with the number of the order you wish to cancel. Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been dispatched.
The purchaser’s right of withdrawal is recognized. You may exercise this right by returning the purchased products within 15 calendar days of receipt of the products.
The product must be in perfect condition, must not have been used or had its inner packaging torn, apart from for the purposes of checking its condition. It must be returned in its original packaging and with all its components.
Return shipping costs are payable by the purchaser.
In the event that the item received is damaged or in poor condition, you may choose between a replacement of the product or a full refund of the amount paid.
